Daily let us be examples of Christ's love,
as we prepare God's people for eternity.
Welcome ... Please come visit!
We're a new community church with a rich heritage, worshipping God in
Chesterville since 1833, and in our landmark church since 1851
- with new joy every time!
Our Beliefs
Chesterville Community Church is an independent church rooted in the best Bible-based Christian beliefs and Wesleyan traditions.
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, true Word of God.
It is the true rule and guide for faith, practice, and life.
The Apostle's Creed summarizes our beliefs about God well:
We believe in God, the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic (that is, universal) church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Our Pastor David Keefer
David holds a Masters in Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary, in addition to an undergrad degree from Ohio State. He's previously served as a Youth Pastor, and then as Senior Pastor at the Sparta AC Church.
He and his wife Tammy have been married for almost 40 years, having met as high school sweethearts. They've lived in Morrow County for decades. They have 4 grown children (3 of whom are adopted). Most of their children reside in the area, while one is serving in the US Air Force stationed out west.
David also serves as Executive Director of Morrow County's Seniors on Center. Tammy served for many years at the Selover Library in Chesterville, where she was instrumental in starting the robotics and drone program, which continues to enjoy great success.
The church served up coffee + donuts first thing ...

Later our church's praise band got together with friends from the Pulaskiville Bible Church and more, playing gospel, Dixieland, and bluegrass favorites under the Big Tent.

Our 1st Anniversary as a Community Church!
It took lots of time, treasure, talent, and trust - and most of all,
God's grace!
We're truly grateful + blessed.
Everyone was welcome for worship and / or lunch with friends, old + new.
Chesterville Christmas Craft Fair
We had a great time with friends old + new, raising money
for the Cardington Food Pantry selling home-baked Christmas treats
and hand-made crafts, with live Christmas music from our church peep's.
July 2023 - Re-dedicating our stained glass windows which date back to the 1890's. Several were damaged in the tornados on June 13, 2022. They're now beautifully restored.
